In this course students are taught the indexing procedures and rules developed by ARMA that apply when working with computer or paper files. Emphasis is placed on the four filing methods (Alphabetic, Numeric, Subject, and Geographic), as well as the principles of storage, retention, transfer, and disposition or records. In this course the students will be introduced to database management on the microcomputer. Prerequisite: OT 10003 or keyboarding proficiency test. One hour lecture, two hours lab. Course fee required. Spring
