A study of advanced traditional and nontraditional welding methods. An analysis of the operation of AC and DC transformer, resistance, and MIG and TIG welding systems. Operational tests made on the effects of welding heats, polarities, and electrode types. Procedures such as welding ferrous and non-ferrous materials and pipe joint welding will be practiced using the standard stick, MIG, TIG, and resistance welding methods. Prerequisite: MFG 10103. One hour lecture, four hours lab. Course fee required. Spring
