This course is offered in conjunction with DENT-HYG 4120C Preventive Dentistry Clinic III, and is a part of the clinical education continuum. Major content emphasis includes developing problem solving abilities, managing patients with special needs and diverse backgrounds(oncology, gerontology and physical disabilities), and managing emergencies in the dental office. Skills in preventive treatment program planning and evaluation of patient care will be reinforced through community experiences and self reflection. 2 hrs
