This course is a continuation of Jazz Arranging for small ensembles. It will cover the basics of arranging and orchestration techniques for big bands. It includes an in-depth study of basic voicing and instrumental sonorities using intensive listening and score study. The students will have a chance to hear their final arrangements performed at the end of the semester by the Concert Jazz Band. Prerequisite: CONSVTY 426B 2 hrs
