The basic principles of human biochemistry for pharmacy students presented in a two-term integrated unit. Topics will include the chemistry and mechanisms involved in biosynthesis, degradations and utilization of the major constituents of living systems and the biochemistry of specialized tissues, hormones, nutrition and regulation. Restricted to students in the School of Pharmacy. Prerequisites: BIOLOGY 202 (pre or corequisite) and CHEM 320 or CHEM 322R. 3 hrs
