The focus of this course will be on the psychological factors surrounding human sexuality. This will include discussions about some myths and fallacies surrounding sexual education, correction of sexual misinformation, and relationship of attitudes to various sexual mores and practices. Although personal counseling is not included in the course, students will be informed of community resources available for consultation. An analysis of local community standards used to evaluate sexual behavior will include input from professional representatives of the community such as lawyers, physicians and the clergy. Prerequisite: PSYCH 210. 3 hrs
