Situates "The Border" historically and within the context of U.S. imperialism. Examines the formalization of political "borders," methods of enforcement, and intra-group conflicts. Examines the varied experiences of colonialism and immigration between Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Native Americans, and Cubans.
