Clinical activity-full time (2-12 weeks). Prerequisite: fourth-year medical student; consent of instructor. Students participate at the California Department of Health Services in ongoing investigations into current public health problems, e.g., birth defects, cancer control, diabetes, hypertension, injury control, infectious diseases, aging, Alzheimer's disease, and smoking and tobacco use control.
