One hundred sixty clock hours of unpaid supervised student pharmacy technician practice under the supervision of a preceptor pharmacist. The extern will interact with customers, compound pharmaceuticals, dispense drugs, apply legal standards, consider marketing principles, experience purchasing and inventory control and use retail pharmacy computer systems. A current health form, criminal background check and drug screen may be required. ( Prerequisites: PHM 103, PHM 110)
