This course will emphasize critical thinking based on the cognitive knowledge base required for competence in the medical assisting profession. Students will incorporate foundations for clinical practice cognitive knowledge in performance of psychomotor skills and affective behaviors. Cognitive knowledge base topics include: Anatomy & Physiology, Applied Microbiology/Infection Control & Applied Mathematics. Students perform 21 psychomotor skills and four affective behaviors.
