This course will emphasize critical thinking based on the cognitive knowledge base required for competence in the medical assisting profession for communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Students will incorporate applied communications cognitive knowledge in performance of psychomotor skills and affective behaviors. Cognitive knowledge base topics include: Concepts of Effective Communications. Students perform 13 psychomotor skills and 10 affective behaviors.
