Problem solving skills and an understanding of the principles of design will be developed through the creation of three-dimensional objects. Students will experiment with three-dimensional form and space in the process of manually building models using a variety of materials and construction methods. Students will then apply model making skills to a three-dimensional study model of their interior design project experience how the analysis of a study model can help identify and resolve planning problems as well as convey the design concept. Both aesthetics and craftsmanship will be stressed.
