This course examines the roles of money and banks in a global economy. Subjects such as analysis of financial markets and institutions, including central banks and monetary policy will be recovered. An emphasis is placed on students developing the skills to understand the implications of financial market conditions for portfolio decisions, as well as to evaluate the economic effects of alternative monetary policies.
