This is an Honors course which provides a theoretical and practical guidance to Local Area Networking and Windows 2003 Server software. Students are prepared for the Microsoft certification exam (70-290). The student will focus on installing, configuring, managing and troubleshooting Windows Server 2003. Network hardware requirements will be discussed. Included are client server software installation, active directory configuration, network security, client account creating, and installation of print services. Students will learn to monitor and optimize the network system for performance.
