This Honors course is the first of six courses designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience in current and emerging networking technology. This course includes: networking terminology and protocols, network standards, LANs, WANs, OSI and TCP/IP models, safety, cabling, cabling tools, routers, IP addressing and subnet masks. Emphasis is on the details of the OSI 7-layer Model.
