This course introduces the student to the Linux operating system. The student will gain hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and administrating Linux in both a client and a server environment, as well as in integrating it with other operating systems. In addition, the student will acquire the skills necessary to manage a Linux/Unix based computer system by performing a variety of administrative tasks. Honors students will be prepared for the Comp TIA Linux+ certification exam.
