Fall. Credits: 4. Degree Requirements: Fine Arts. Individually designed creative projects or research undertaken with the approval and guidance of the art faculty. Students are required to propose a fifteen-week program of research, develop a relevant body of work and artist statement, meet weekly for critiques with the instructor, and maintain a digital portfolio of their work. In addition each student will participate in one formal critique with art faculty and a peer group at the end of the semester. Prerequisites: Junior standing, successful completion of all 100-level courses required for the major, and at least one 300-level studio course or permission of instructor. Required for all majors in the studio track.
