Topics include Brecht's epic theatre, American and African American playwrights (Williams, Miller, Hansberry,Wilson, Shephard, Wasserstein), Theatre of the Absurd and the avant-garde, postcolonial practices worldwide (African masquerade, Latin carnival, guerilla/development theatre), and contemporary performance art.
