(Prerequisite BIO 112) Healthcare is being transformed by a community of "non-traditional" professionals previously called alternative practitioners. This class will explore the pros and cons of various Complimentary Alternative Medical "CAM" Therapies, using an evidenced based model with a review of the scientific literature when available. In addition, the educational and licensing requirements of those practicing the therapies will be discussed. Included in this class will be a discussion of botanicals (herbs) and other dietary supplements.
