(Prerequisites: PSY101 &PSY356) The various perspectives emotional, behavioral, and cognitive and skills concerned with coaching will be surveyed and the different areas in which coaching may be relevant personal, health, workplace, and organizations will be discussed. Ethical guidelines, coaching agreements, creating rapport, communicating effectively e.g., active listening, powerful questioning, direct communication, and facilitating learning and results e.g., designing actions, planning and setting goals, and managing progress and accountability. All students will be required to utilize these concepts in creating their own personal statement and action plan to facilitate their own development.
