(Prerequisites: ACT 202, CIM 205 & MGT 302) In this course, emphasis is placed upon the essentials of Entrepreneurship and the operation of a small business enterprise. Participants will be given practice in "recognizing a need" and determining how to best meet the need identified. The participant also learns the fundamentals of starting a small business, i.e. locating funding determining best geographic location, when to hire additional personnel, organizing a project from beginning to end, eliminating the waste of project time and money, and to spot problems before they become critical. Material will also cover theessentials of expansion of existing small business, which include market research, market feasibility analysis, financial analysis, pro-forma budgets, income, and profit and loss statements.
