(Prerequisite: HCM 301) This course discusses the various approaches and techniques utilized to finance the healthcare delivery system. Emphasis will be placed on the different methods in use throughout the US to reimburse healthcare providers as well as the numerous health care reform proposals currently suggested. Students will discuss the effect of financing methods on the accessibility, quality, and planning of healthcare services. Comparisons will be made between the US healthcare system and it's counterparts in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
