(Prerequisite: MSHS 600) This course offers the study of the responses of the cardiorespiratory system to physical activity, as well as the adaptations to exercise training. Topics covered include energy expenditure, oxygen consumption, cardiovascular responses (acute and chronic) to training, physiological control mechanisms, and physiological changes due to diseased states and various environmental conditions.
