Prerequisite: Junior status or permission of faculty. This course will introduce students to the growing phenomenon of cancer survivorship. Issues related to medical care, quality of life, economics, political influences, genetic implica-tions, access to health care and adaptation for the cancer survivor will be explored. This is an elective course, which augments and enhances the basic oncology concepts of the curriculum, and exposes the student to new ways of thinking about cancer survivors.
