Prerequisite: Permission of instructor. This course is designed to introduce students to a wide range of health issues affecting women across the life span. Women's health issues and problems as they are influenced by physiologi-cal, psychological, economic, cultural, emotional and social factors will be reviewed. The course will focus on topics such as the politics of wom -en' s health care, the reproductive system and its relation to the allopathic treatment of women, fertility control and reproductive alternatives. Issues of mental health, substance use and abuse, violence and aging will be examined.
