Prerequisite: "C" or better grade in any core lab science sequence . An introduction to stellar Astronomy and Cos-mology. Topics include stellar structure and evo-lution, end states of stars such as white dwarfs and black holes, active galaxies and quasars, the large-scale structure of the universe, and theories for the origin and evolution of the Universe. This course will emphasize physical principles and conceptual understanding.
