Based on material typically taught in sequence of courses in medical-surgical or adult nursing. Measures knowledge and understanding of the physiological, developmental, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions of health and illness in adults. Tests for the ability to use the nursing process in a variety of settings to deliver health care to adults with actual or potential health problems in the following areas: cardiovascular, hematologic, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, gastrointestinal, sensory, neurological, musculoskeletal, immune, or integumentary system dysfunction. (This exam does not apply toward the Excelsior College nursing degrees.)
