Includes both acute and long-term needs and problems of medical-surgical and pediatric patients. Assumes the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, emotional and physical development, microbiology, and nutrition generally expected of the associate degree nurse. (This is a required exam for the Excelsior College nursing degrees.)
