3 credits This course focuses on developing skills to determine how to evaluate and use research findings in clinical evidence-based practice. Students are introduced to the components of the research process. The concepts of theory, literature, methodology, sampling, measurement, and analysis are presented. Emphasis is placed on critiquing research studies according to appropriate research principles and standards. Application of research to clinical practice is addressed. Excelsior College's [PSYx365 Research Methods in Psychology] will also satisfy this requirement.
