This course presents a selection of some of the most culturally rele- vant contemporary films from the Hispanic world.This course is interdis- ciplinary and cross-cultural, with an emphasis on the socio-economic and political issues that are raised in each film. Discussions of the films will be informed by readings of scholarly articles relating to the topics raised and film reviews. Conducted in Spanish. Not open to Freshmen. 3 hours a week, 1 semester, 3 credits. Spring 2008
