A continuation of Chemistry 150. Topics include properties of gases, liquids, solids and solutions. Equilibrium is emphasized in its relation to thermodynamics, rates of reaction, acid-base chemistry, oxidation and reduction, electrochemistry. Nuclear chemistry is briefly considered. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in Chemistry 150 or Departmental approval 4 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory a week, 1 semester, 5 credits. Spring Lab fee-$60
