Prerequisite: BL201, BL202. An introduction to the prin- ciples of ecology stressing interaction between organ- isms and their environment at the levels of the indi- vidual, population, community, and the ecosystem. These principles are then applied to current environ- mental and conservation problems and issues. Labo- ratory experiments, computer simulations, and field experiences designed to demonstrate basic ecological principles. One weekend field trip may be required.
