Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor. Laboratory-based course designed to develop skills commonly used in molecular population genetics, ecology and systematics. Emphasis will be on DNA-based methods such as PCR, DNA sequencing, and microsatellite DNA procedures. Theoretical, physical and biochemical bases of methods will be stressed.
