Prerequisite: Six hours of philosophy or junior standing; and Math 0115 or equivalent; math placement test. This course covers the three basic approaches to reasoning and decision making. The first (normative) component covers the basics of probability theory and decision theory. The second (descriptive) component focuses on research on the ways people actually reason.
