Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in 3113, 3213, and MATH 3113 or 3413. Continuation of the study of atmospheric dynamics and kinematics begun in Dynamics I. Topics include: natural coordinates, geostrophic wind, inertial flow, cyclostrophic flow, gradient wind, thermal wind, kinematics and dynamics of circulation and vorticity, viscosity, and stress; turbulence, structure, and dynamics of the atmospheric boundary line.
