Description:
Prerequisite: Student must be approved for degree candidacy by Price College, all 3000-level Business core courses, or be upper-division student in the College of Engineering. This course examines current issues and approaches to the management of technology. Using case studies, assigned readings and class discussions, students will examine the complexity of issues involved in the management of technology. An underlying theme of this course is that the successful management of technology rest on understanding of a number of issues, including the nature of competition, the interaction of new technologies with existing technologies, the evolution of markets and the processes through which organizations generate and absorb technological innovations.
