Study of the strategic planning, implementation skills, and the evaluation process. Study of various models and approaches to designing and conducting strategic planning, including specific techniques for conducting environmental scans, swot analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats), strategic issue identification, and strategy formulation.
