This course will cover Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Topics covered include the establishment and perfection of security interests pursuant to credit sales contracts, problems of focusing on the interface beween Article 9 and federal bankruptcy law, priority disputes among collateral claimants, default, and rights after default. Emphasis will be placed on developing an understanding of and facility with the code's statutory scheme. (F, Sp)
