Prerequisite: senior standing or permission of instructor. Mitigation of human health and environmental problems with a focus on differences between developing and developed countries. Topics include baseline health indicators, population growth, toxicology, epidemiology, and risk assessment, water and wastewater, air quality, solid and hazardous waste, and environmental management systems. No student may earn credit for both 4603 and 5603. (F)
