Prerequisite: 5013. This course will familiarize the student with morphological and syntactic phenomena from a large array of languages. Morphological processes, inflectional and derivation, grammatical categories, and problems in morphemic analysis will be covered. Syntactic phenomena covered includes cliticization, noun incorporation agreement, valence, causation, subordination structures, and head/dependent and word order typologies. (Sp)
