Survey of anthropological theorists and theories of culture (evolutionary, functional, cognitive, ecological, structural, symbolic, etc.) and their impact on research methods in each of the four fields of anthropology and related disciplines. Emphasis will be given to a discussion of primary texts written by the major theorists. (F)
