2 This course enables students to begin their basic knowledge of nursing. The course provides an organizing framework, based on Gordon's functional health patterns, that is strictly nursing. Therapeutic nursing interventions are incorporated into the more detailed discussion of each of the functional health patterns. A separate laboratory component is included for demonstration and practice of nursing interventions. At the conclusion of this course students will demonstrate competency in performing basic nursing intervention for individuals in a clinical setting. Pre-Req: Nursing Majors, Sophomore level; Co-Reqs: 33.210L, and 33.312
