3 In this course we will discuss the dynamic aspects of the disease processes. The pathophysiologic basis of signs and symptoms of diseases which are created by alterations in cellular dynamics, fluid and electrolyte balance, acid-base balance, immunological changes, cancer and inflammatory processes. We will also discuss specific diseases related to the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neuorologic, intestinal, endocrine, musculoskeletal and integumentary systems. Another focus in the course is the influence of environment and how it relates to health promotion throughout a persons life. span.
