4 Extends fundamental molecular principles introduced in 31.251 to physiological processes. Biomacromolecular materials, their structural properties and metabolic processes are explained from a mechanistic molecular perspective. Issues facing human health are discussed and the chemistry is presented in a "need to know" fashion in order to better understand the science behind the issues.
