2 This course, a continuation of 36.353, is designed to instruct the student in the analytical procedures and methods currently used in the clinical laboratory. Manual and automated methods utilized in the assessment of such topics as acid-base balance, porphyrins, toxicology and vitamins will be introduced. In addition, methods associated with the routine examinations of urine and other body fluids will be introduced. Quality control, laboratory safety and professional performance are emphasized.
