Boundary layer separation and fluid dynamic drag. Flow in pipes. Forced and free convective heat transfer, the thermal boundary layer, Reynolds' analogy, Prandtl and Grashof numbers. Empirical engineering convection relations. Students engage ina design project throughout the term. Pre-Reqs: 22.341 Conduction & Rad Heat Transfer and 22.381 Fluid Mechanics
