This course is designed to familiarize students with diagnostic and counseling strategies which focus on the treatment needs of adolescents, the elderly, persons with mental illness, and persons with mental retardation. Both group and individual counseling techniques will be taught including methods for recovery and relapse prevention. Prerequisite: successful completion of a substance abuse course. CR. 3
