In this seminar, each student will complete a term paper based upon research undertaken during the semester. To facilitate the writing of the papers, the seminar will include the study of bibliographic techniques relevant to both print and on-line/Internet sources. And to develop a context in which to write term papers, students will read and discuss examples of current musical scholarship. Students will select research projects which complement their major area of study within the music program. Topics must be approved by the instructor. Prerequisite: MUS333, 334, and successful completion of Junior Standing Jury. CR. 3
