This course is designed for teachers and prospective teachers of secondary mathematics. Students will actively explore Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry and proof. Historical perspectives, mathematical interrelationships, appropriate use of technologies, related Maine State Learning Results, performance indicators and assessment tools will be stressed throughout the course. Prerequisite: appropriate score on the UMA placement test or a grade of "C" or better in MAT112 or successful completion of MAT124 or higher. CR. 3
