This course explores the history of sexuality from ancient Greece and India to the contemporary world, including Asian, European, North American, and West African readings. We will use sexuality as a window into a selection of historical periods, emphasizing the constantly changing nature of sexual identify and practice and the role of sexuality in the shaping of class, race, gender, and nation.
